This scratching post has been a hit with my furry crew. They love reaching up high to stretch and scratch, and the base keeps it steady even with their vigorous play. While the sisal material seems to fray faster than expected, it's still a favorite spot for them to play and scratch, keeping my furniture safe.

This is finally a scratching post that my cats can stretch all the way up on. It seems like many are made too short, or they tip because the base is too light. This wide, heavy base keeps the post in place and also doubles as a play area. They just love sticking their paws in through all the little holes to bat the balls around. The sisal post material drew their attention immediately for scratching, keeping my furniture and door frames safe. The only downside I have noticed is that this tower seems to be fraying more quickly than some others with equal use. The ones that hold up longer seem to have a softer, yet more durable type of sisal rope. This kind is stiff and breaks off in shreds more easily. I still really like it because of the stability, and the post can be re-wrapped with new sisal when this gets all scratched up.

Both cast started playing with this in no time! They're both outdoor semi-feral cats, one is a bit more aggressive and the other is shy. They both started chasing the little bell-balls in the bottom in practically no time, and they've been using the scratching post as well. They haven't quite started playing with the ball on the top. This doesn't take up much floor space which I appreciate. The only minor "con" is this is light enough the cats can move it around or drag it while attempting to play with it or use it. You could always secure it in some way, such as tie it to another piece of furniture or add some weight.

Our feline easily gets bored with toys but we noticed that it was playing with this a bit more than other toys. The quality of the material also looked great.
