Our cats love watching us build a new toy for them. Somehow they know when it's theirs. This one is smaller than you'd expect. The thinner poles make the pictures indicate it's probably quite big. The posts are skinnier than most cat trees. However, it does NOT take away from any stability or sturdiness. The youngest cat loves chasing her own tail around and through this thing. She did already chew off the hanging toy from the top. But that's an us problem. This is used daily by our cats. Assembly was pretty quick. Good solid structure keeping the base flat.
